The oil light on the V's indicate low levels of oil, not low pressure like
some other bikes.

BTW, I have owned bikes for 20 years and never had to top off the oil
between changes. Just check for leaks once in a while.

Oh, and if all you see is a big cloud behind you when you accelerate, that
might be a problem too <!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->

I recently saw an aftermarket add-on for this very thing. It is a little
angled mirror that bolts on and can be positioned so that you can see the
oil level indicator when the bike is being held in an upright position.
That way you can check the oil-level by yourself. If I find a link I will
post it.
