Well my Gfriends sister got a 22 rifle for xmas. She doesn't shoot but
hubby does. I told the Gfriend that I thought it was a good gift.

Well, it fits the secret rule I've finally figgered out: NOTHING that
plugs into a wall receptacle.

I've had much more success now that I've started following that.

Bad rule. Glorious new computers and monitors plug into wall
receptacles. A few other things too, I guess...

How to put this...

I think you're in the minority on this one. Not that there's anything
wrong with that, by any means.

Anybody heard from Tami?

> Not that there's anything wrong with that, by any means.

I derive far more pleasure from my new monitor than I do from even my
favorite perfume. I grow my own flowers, and the growing is better than
the flowering. It's really hard to find chocolate that I like better
than Hershey's Symphony (with toffee bits). I have more clothes than I
need or even want. Lingerie (as opposed to underwear) is not quite as
decorative as it once was. I've already got a .22 rifle.

I love jewelry but hate to wear it. I'd like some new skis, but I
wouldn't trust anybody to buy them for me. I'd like a pair of street
motorcycles and for my husband to decide that we probably wouldn't kill
ourselves if we rode on the street again. I'd like a gift certificate
from a disinterested third party for a troop of lawyers and accountants
to come in and just DEAL with my mom's estate. I'd like a bigger troop
of burglars to come in while we're asleep and carry off everything I
haven't marked with a white X. I'd like non-astigmatic eyes. I'd like a
better metabolism and better coordination.

Gifts just aren't all they're cracked up to be!

If $60.29 is too much, here's something nice for $31.49:

http://tinyurl.com/3ckqnn

They usually have MUCH better deals available; it must be the pre-
Valentine's Day effect.

I buy this sort of stuff in the "off-season" (Spring/Summer) and keep
enough of a supply on hand for Valentine's day, xmas, anniversary,
etc. etc.

The white and black cultured Akoya are outstanding quality (these are
"real," i.e., saltwater cultured pearls). If you watch overstock, you
can get one, two and three strand plus 24" and 35" strands for less
than $100, sometimes much less. Some of the freshwater pearls are
nice too, of course not as consistent or nearly as spherical as the
Akoya, but the pink freshwater pearl strands are VERY nice. I think
of pearls (for the wife) the same way I think (for me) of my wrench
and socket sets, i.e., you can never have enough variety.

YMMV,

-Joe

She needs Leatt Neck Braces for your daughters. Or the new one
from EVS.

she already has one, but....shiny rocks are always a hit with her, sorta
like me & chrome stuff, i can not pass an auction box full of miscellaneous
chrome tools & crud... i did buy a paper shredder last night, but i couldn't
help myself and already used it in her presence, so i don't think she would
like the re-gifting of it... she didn't find the same humor as it made this
whirring noise followed by me giggling...

Hitachi makes SOMETHING that plugs into a wall receptacle that would
make it OK to break the secret rule.

Don't spend too much only to find out that she really didn't give
a shi$ about the LCD display DVD/SatRadio/Radio/GPS that you had
installed in her bmw for a gift, last time I whip out the card
and say yes do it!
