Well the kid went out today and bought a 1980 XR-200 for his
fiance'. I had bought her an older air cooled KDX-200 a year
or so ago, but the bike is a little too intimidating and too
tall for her. The kid got the XR for $200, the owners
couldn't get it started but the kid tells me that it's got
spark and good compression, probably needs a good carb
cleaning. I guess I'll have another something to work on
when I can get around better.

Hey Chris:
Sounds like great therapy.
I've never been hurt the way you've been hurt, but when I was on
crutches for a few months, one of my favorite distractions was monkeying
with a 1970 Triumph 650. A bike like that needs a lot of fiddling, it
was basically intact, but the electrics were in sad shape.

Getting a wrench in your hand alone is a good feeling, set out to make
things right.

Good luck with it; and best Christmas wishes,

-KTM-Don

Chris,
Get a big FH in one hand and a huge phillips screwdriver in the other.
Point at the bike with the screwdriver and shake the hammer with the
other. Learn to talk in tonges when you do this. Someone will come
along and fix the bike for you.
