2001 cr250,just back from complete rebuild

out with buddy who just bought honda trx450,went to local honda shop
to ride
(about 350 acres)
ended up being one of two bikes riding, and 7 other people riding 4
wheelers
lots of traffic and tight trails n blind corners, ended up drag racing
back n forth on 200 yard strip, from each directions, worked out hand
signals so no one would hit each other
did'nt work 11yr old on honda 250x pulls right in to my lane at the
end of the strip,so I lay the bike down on it side to keep from
hitting the child (had to )took a good spill, had gear on but pretty
much ok except laid my thumbs back and cant hold a wrench
fr rim alignment got tweaked if you hold the bars like to ride
straight at 12 o clock, the rim points to 1155 o clock and the rim
has no damage
so do i just need to loosen the fork clamps to bring it back into
being true?
and i also see no fork damage to the tubes

Sounds like it to me. Either you twisted the forks in the clamps and you
can fix that by loosening like you asked, or just giving the wheel a good
kick. Or your bars are bent.

Pinch bolts are only half. You need to loosen the front axle bolt a tad,
straighten (sit on the bike and push wheel against a wall or something
until it's straight), then tighten both. Don't over tighten the pinch
bolts-look in your manual, normally they take about 25 to 30 lbs.

My advice: don't drag race. Why don't you challenge each other
by playing "trials follow the leader". That way the only person hurt
is the pilot, not innocent bystanders.

Yup, that's all it takes. This is known as "tweaking" the forks.

Heal quickly. I hope you didn't detach any tendons. That can
be ugly (although the pins are kinda cool).
