Who's the stupider? Us for voting the Government in? Or the Government
them selves?
Since when has Boxing day come before Christmas?

Speak for yourself. I didn't vote for one of the fsckers I'm currently
unfortunate enough to have my country, state or local area run by.

Read a little more closely - this is a public holiday timetable. Since
Xmas day in 2004 is on a SUnday, the public holiday for it is on the
Tuesday {since boxing day is its own public holiday}.

Think yourself lucky... until a few weeks ago you weren't going to be
celebrating Christmas day at all... which will explain why boxing day comes
first this year.

Also note Christmas this year has been moved to the 28/12, and next year to
the 27/12 Smile

I can actually kind of see what they've done. I think the days they've
written up there are for when the holiday itself falls, (ie through the
week) not the day itself. Why else does it say the 27th and 28th instead of
25th and 26th etc? As to the reverse order, perhaps technically you are
supposed to have the holiday day off in reverse chronological order. All
sounds rather weird to me though. Aha, yes, I am correct. If you have a look
at Anzac day, it has a * next to it, stating that there is no day in lieu
for that day, hence no ... we don't get a three day weekend for Anzac day.
The bastards! I'll need a day to recover after spending the day getting
pissed with the diggers.

Both Christmas Day and Boxing Day fall on a weekend this year.

The public holidays have been moved to the nearest weekday after.
Normally, you wouldn't get Christmas or Boxing day hols if they fell
on a weekend so count yourself lucky.

Odd though that they wouldn't have them in order but it won't affect
my ability to enjoy a four day long weekend.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->

Normally where...Communist China?
We've had a weekday-holiday for Christmas and Boxing day every year I can
remember.

I did notice that they fell on the weekend, I just thought that they'd
put them in order, Justt looks wrong how they've done it, Makes no diff to
having the 2 extra days off though.

You probably don't remember anything before 1960 though.

What about all the good things Jeff did, eh?

If I was living in Vic, I would have voted for him.
