I think you'll find most of us are worse! Amazing what being persecuted on
TV and dodging rockape cabbies does to your demeanour.
In answer to your question about the licences, it varies by state. In
Queensland you can get an open bike licence after a one day QRide course. It
varies around the country.

Actually they do although quite uncommon for "regular" motorcycles there are a
few (Guzzi for one) but most scooters are autos or cvt's

They have their place - constant stop start 10km/hr sydney traffic jams are

Hmmm, how many gears on the CT110 Postman Pat ? Most modern, mainstream bikes
are 5 or 6 sp. Go back a decade or 3 and fewer gears becomes more common, but
certainly most bikes from the mid 80's onwards will be at least 5sp

If you're in NSW are over 30 and you have a full (gold) licence you can sit your
Ls and assuming you pass you can go for your P test as little as a week later,
if you pass that you have a full open motorcycle licence except you can't carry
a pillion for 12 months. Qld have a similar system (Q ride) don't know about
any other states.

Actually Alan. Nevs a little upset I told the truth about his bike 2002
Blackbird with 50 thou on the clock, when he tried to fob it off to the rest
of us for a rip off price of $13,500. These bikes in the 2003 model can be
purchased for $15999 ride away brand spanking new.
I'm not a popular person in this newsgroup, but I am honest. It's just a
pity people get hurt in the process (including myself) but that's life.
