Of all tyrannies, a tyranny exercised for the
good of its victims may be the most
oppressive. It may be better to live under
robber barons than under omnipotent
moral busybodies. The robber baron's
cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity
may at some point be satiated; but those
who torment us for our own good will
torment us without end, for they do so
with the approval of their own conscience.

I like the Honda synthetic (HP2?). It's a nice blue color, easy to
tell when mixed. I switched from the Bel-Ray synthetic a couple
of years ago. My power valve stays cleaner. I've only fouled
1 plug in the 5 years I've had the ATK, so I can't speak to
which oil is best in that respect.

I second that - I now use the Honda synthetic in my CR250. Great stuff,
less spludge then Bel-Ray/Amsoil and I like the blue color.

bought some Honda stuff & a new gas can
(had to search to find a can that didn't
have all the child safety line up the arrows on
the cap so that you can open it without asking some
small child with good dexterity & vision to open it
for you because some "dew" gooder thinks you need
protecting from yourself) anyhow i got this stuff to and
thanks for the input.

Correct your jetting, pre-mix ratio, and your plugs will last for years.
Other than that, I prefer Golden Spectro in my 2-stroke bikes.

You know, we have used GS for years and it has been great. I am using Maxima
now, can't find GS. I mixed the GS 32:1 and never had an issue with buildup in
the heads and pipes.

Red Line Synthetic. It burns clean, smells great and improves your aura.

I'll second the Redline. It burns very clean and I never foul.

I get good results with Yamalube 2S. Its semi-synthetic designed for
snowmobiles and out boards with injection. Comes in a gallon jug for
about $15 bucks. Works every bit as good as 2R that costs $5 bucks a
pint.
