WOOOOOOSH!
Uh, repartee (noun) a quick and witty reply. Also, amusing and usually
light sparring with words. Can also refer to adroitness and cleverness
in reply : skill in repartee.
"What's a sled?" from Steph's mouth is like "What's cold weather?"
from Tud's.
"Beertender, guess what's issuin' from MY mouth. Yup. 'A round for the
house!' I'm scribblin' but buying some drinks, too."

And there's snow in Idaho (well maybe not much in SW Idaho). And kids growing
up in Idaho are likely to have a sled to ride in the snow. Or at least to
have seen one.
Unlike kids who (like I did) grow up in SoCal, most of whom would never have
seen a sled in real life. In keeping with the theme of that particular topic
which I started, in which we in SoCal don't have winter...

But you SoCal denizens do have rainy months like
those in NorCal, right?
One weird aspect to the dry climate here in Idaho
is that it feels warmer than the temperature reading.
IOW, 30 feels more like about 40.

"Like those in NorCal?" Not hardly. Yov aware that's a desert down
there, Grvmbler. Geologically, it's a desert. NorCal gets, what,
20-30 inches each winter season? SoCal gets a relative handfvl (all
at once, to inititate the mvdslides).

Totally different places.
