As for me, well I am riding to work on dry days ( I got to like the car in
the rain for some reason), and have been doing baby pooch rides here and
there.
I seem to be favoring the R1100RS, for it's size, stability, and it's
somewhat oblivious attitude towards butthead drivers, potholes, weather,
smallish animals, and of course those heated grips are nice, too.
Tomorrow I'm going to take it work, then over to my physical therapy appt.
Just to kind of show my therapist that things are coming along. (which they
are, albeit rather slowly, but coming along nevertheless)
Ok, did Michael Sierchio's 794 ever turn up? I keep expecting to see him on
it or ...

I ride to work except on work-at-home days.

Today I rode down to San Jose on my R1100GS. You can be as proactive in
traffic as you want, but still things happen that make you do things you
Should Not Do, such as letting off the throttle or -- heaven forfend! --
braking in a turn. But the oilheads have this very nice stability in
turns that let you do that without upsetting the bike. I added some Piaa
lights, big ones with high/low beams. They're apparently quite effective
at making people see me, but they're heavy and they jiggle on the bar I
got.

Jiggling lights is good. It makes people notice them.

No, it works on exotic motorcyclists too...

I'm exotic. remember the line in "Bettlejuice", "I myself am strange and
unusual"? That's me.

But I'm going to get tired of worrying about metal fatigue in that light
bar.

You've given me an evil idea for a ratbike.

Hehehehehe....

I kind of played with the idea of starting a ratbike club. That way, my
inferiority complex would vanish...
