Hiya Peoples.
Time to sell the Hornet, What do people consider the best way to do it?
I've checked out the Redbook for a rough valuation, which I'm taking
with a grain of salt, Besides taking the bike to a dealer, Is there a better
way of getting a true valuation?
It's a 2000 S model, First 2000 model Peter Stevens City sold, (I know
the guy who preps there bikes for the showroom floor, He preped my bike),
It's only done 16,845 km, Full service history, never been on it's side,
Moded standard pipe on the bike & a new standard pipe to go with it,
Uni-Filter filter, Oggy Knobbs, Some custom stickers, A set of smaller
indicators (not fitted) & a cover to cover the rear section of the seat to
look like a single seat unit. Tyres are BT010s with about 80% tread. Other
than that it's standard & in top nick. It'll have almost 12mths reg (paying
it next week) & a RWC.
I'm looking at asking for about $7,500 ONO.
Reluctant sale, But we need a second car & I can't justify (or really
afford) Rego & Insurance for 2 cars & a bike, And I don't ride the bike as
often these days, which I know the bike should get, A waste really.
Comments appreciated.

PS: I'll except a Kick in the Nuts, But it'll have to come with dollars

Taking a bike to a dealer won't get you a "true" valuation. You'll
get a dealer trade-in value. But at least it will give you
a lower limit.
No better way to get a valuation than by selling it. After all, the
value of anything is determined by how much someone is willing to
pay for it.
So just advertise and see what you get.

Firstly, commiserations.
..... but then, again, from the way you pair are breeding....maybe not.
Where did you get the cover for the pillion seat?
As for the price, well, I guess it's worth what you can get someone to
pay for it.

There actually are some 250 Hornets in Oz, but they were grey imports.
The 600 was a genuine Ozzie bike, as was the later 900.
Quite why Honda Oz stopped bringing in the 600 in favour of the 900, I
really dunno.
Aido's is a 600. The proper one!

Have you riden a 600 Hornet, Cam?
Actually, I'd rather ride a 250 Hornet in good nick, than a previously
crashed ZX636, but, then again, the world is full of people, all different.
