Snuck in a brisk one today. Hadn't run the bike in awhile with the
snow and that little Thanksgiving weekend "gift" of a cold/fever from
my cousin.

But it's becoming increasingly obvious the riding season has come to a
close and we've officially switched to "topping off the battery"
riding.

Well at least until I get them electric pants! The lectric gloves and
jacket do a good job of making one impervious to the frigid cold, but
after years of personal abuse my right knee is officially due for
replacement whenever I feel like getting a new one spliced in and
lemme tell you, you could drop my kneecaps into your scotch and keep
it icy cold right about now!

I seem to have part of whatever's going around. I'm kinda loopy, so no
riding the bicycle or motorcycle for me till I'm better.

Even better, next Thurs, I'm heading to VA to visit with the family.
Brrrrr! It looks like it is stinkin' COLD back there! Bah!

In the 20s here, after snowing for a few days and melting just enough to
make the roads rough.. Some cage rollovers every day. Unless a person goes
into sidecars and studded tires, riding in 2003 ends sometime in October.
2004 season doesn't commence till 3rd week in March at best.

Hey, sometimes a quickie is the best ever! Don't feel bad, my wonderful son
gave me the same gift all week. Just not cold here.

Nah, it's nice here. I've been riding every day. Well, except for the day
after the 9 inches of snow. But the day after that, it was out into the slush
and salt.

I think I'm done for awhile. It's all cold, icey, and horrible out
now. -4F° out this morning. All manner of evil is frozen to the roads.
I'll give it a whirl when the roads dry a bit. Whenever that may be.

Sorry to hear about the knee-bone. You sound kinda young to be facing
that. Good luck.

Fabulous riding weather. A bit cool, cloudy, no rain. Motorcycle in
good running condition, and me in perfect health, except for one minor
detail.

I'm still restricted to staring straight down. This makes riding a bit
riskier than I care for.

It'll probably last through the weekend...

I took one today too, for "lunch." It was beautiful out. A balmy 43F, lots of
sun and a gusty wind. The rain had washed away all of the crud that had been on
the roads. No electrics here but I use good thermal underwear and gortex pants
under my Joe rocket jeans. I didn't even use the balaclava.
But, to be honest, I'm prepped for this from winter windsurfing. <g>

Heh, I hear ya. I'm getting all sorts of wild ideas about getting a
KLR650 for winter bashing... but its still cold and horrible out.
