And better yet, I got to ride the 1100 a little!! So I had ridden the
KLR to the office....decided at 4PM that I couldn't stand being in an
office any more, so I headed off to the shop.

And there she was....still semi-dirty, but standing taller, leaning
more on the sidestand because of the newfound height, with a nice
remote reservoir tucked up along the subframe rails, shiny new
tire...and these bulgy things which sure looked like case guards!!

The new footpegs aren't in yet, and they hadn't flushed out the clutch
line, but those should be done by Thursday. I couldn't resist, I had
to take it for a spin around the block!!

Amazing, the rear end now acts like it has an actual suspension back
there, the spring rates aren't off all that much apparently from a 94
Gixxer. Sitting on it with my ground hugging weight brings it a little
closer to the ground, the suspension action is much better with the
sportbike shock on it. It actually feels like functioning rebound and
compression and everything now!

The new rear tire is a different profile than the old one, I plan on a
decent rpm drop at cruising speeds, maybe 200-300 at highway speeds? I
seem to have picked up 3-4 mph around 3K rpm's.

The crash bars had to be heated a little and a minor piece of grinding
done to get the right side ones on, they weren't meant for the bike so
its hardly surprising. They are nice though, 3 point mounts, pretty
solid 1" tube steel.

Riding day? Again... Screw you! I think we had a high of like 8
degrees today. And it was snowing when I left for work this morning.

Mine look sorta like that!! They bend back around the cases through,
rather than just sticking straight out.

Oh yeah, they should. But I'm not yet convinced it would be popular
enough. They keep working with the bright colors to appeal to the
mass fancy sporting crowd. I think it BRG would be the cat's meow,
but am not yet sure very many current buyers would agree.

Here's a photo of one a well to do British fellow had painted. I love
it, and would even more so if the engine and cases were all black,
like on the new Street Triple 675.

Vaughn, Triumph should eventually come out with a BRG=(Briish Racing Green)
model of the 675 Daytona like other models in the past Gen II Sprint,
Daytona 955 and Trophy.

I think you're right. The 675's main buyers are similar to the R6 and other
Japanese 600's and BRG probably wouldn't sell well to that market. I've
always like understated monochrome paint jobs (like an expensive sports
car).

PS. My 50 year old friend and SW airlines Captain has two RED 675's,(track &
street) a BRG 1200, "like new", 97 Trophy and his wife has a new
Bonneville. Including dirt bikes he's got 9 total bikes and half dozen
bicycles in his garage. From what I've seen on his SW organized rides, many
pilots also like motorcycles.

Above is Paul in front of his 675 on a resent mostly SW pilot ride.
