I kinda see where mark is coming from here, as a new motorcyclist and an
avid cyclist, last year i posted what i thought was a light hearted Merry
Xmas & Happy New Year to everyone in aus.bicycle and bugger me....I got
flamed like hell by one of the regulars for sounding childish. I couldn't
beleive it!!
If any of the usual guys printed the same thing, it would have been ok but a
newby (me) was definately childish as far as they were concerned.
Most of us come to or try to find these groups because we're interested in a
mutual cause, it's hard enough to break into a group sometimes when people
know each other and ride together, but sometimes outright flaming is not
neccesary unless it's an obvious troll and they are better ignored anyway. A
bit of harmless sarcasm and mucking around with some banter is often fun,
but when some call you a dickhead or worse for no reason in a malicious way,
I reckon there isn't any cause for it...
Ok...i'll climb off me soapbox now.......all donations gratefully accepted
