No, but it gives you a fair idea what they are worth if you don't know

Doh! Jock itch!
Seriously, though - you must have some real remorse and impending
separation anxiety with the big HOG on the horizon. I mean, really,
how are you gonna feel like a big man without the Hardley, especially
if you don't end up winning many races?! ;-p
But point for point, it is the best machine in your stable to part
with. In a few years the big HD's will likely be much better, as you
noted.
And more importantly, as you hone your racing edge, getting on the big
cruiser will just mess with the muscle memory you are trying to
concentrate in your mind/body/motorcycle interface neural networks.
At least the SR4 will provide a street platform that will support the
racing skills. To be the best you need to focus on those skill sets
all the time. And to compete, you need to focus your fiscal energy
towards your goal. So there! Now sell the Hardley. >> Stay informed about: More racing sacrifices.... |

Well, I've ridden plenty of Harleys and best I can tell, me parading
around doesn't have a goddamn thing to do with their re-sale value.
Have you sold a Harley since your heros FUBARed our country's economy?
I had a Pharmacist buddy who would place orders for Harleys a year in
advance then ride them for a season and sell them used at or above his
initial purchase price. That was in the boom boom nineties. This
ain't the boom boom nineties.
I need to get over and see him. I'll bet he's moved on to a Jap bike
by now. >> Stay informed about: More racing sacrifices.... |

Of course you don't. And you sure did. And it was a very impressive
list...but not unexpected, turning some couch into something that
doesn't act like a wallowing whale on the road, and has enough power
to hunt down those willy Honda Civics. >> Stay informed about: More racing sacrifices.... |

You wouldn't want to depend on one of the Zookie GS series motors?
Attached to a shaft drive? Man, these things are part of the engine
series which defines Japanese reliability, let alone hoppability. Of
course, the age alone gets to the silly things ( old o-rings are what
got me last time ), but the basics are all good.
We'll see what my opinion is like next winter after a summers riding,
I get stuck in the middle of nowhere much more and I might dump them
all and get the FJR. >> Stay informed about: More racing sacrifices.... |
