another nice one today, Sunday 2/25/07 - RedShad and I had a nice ride today. Mexican food for lunch. Went to Crawford, did not see George. Stopped at Hico did not eat pie. Drove over the speed limit did not get stopped. Saw a lot of dead deer just lying beside the road, did not hit one. We..

Something Nice To See - I flew out last Sunday to El Paso, TX. We hung out at a little gate at DFW airport waiting on the plane. As you can probably imagine, there were quite a few service men waiting on the flight in their uniforms. Fort Bliss is located in El Paso. I had

It sure is nice... - Yup, it's nice to see those killfiles are working again! I've asked for the location of Mark Johnson's home on NUMEROUS times and never seemed to have received a response. He seems to know exactly how to google events from 5 years ago, but he doesn't..

What a nice day! - Went for a little ride this morning after taking the kids to school. Just a little chilly but well worth it! Rode the back roads having a good time, met up with some old friends, rode some more, and somehow I wound up back home lol. Actually, I had to.

No More Nice Gal - Mother Nature aint very nice anymore around here. She done some nice things around here, during June and July, but not anymore, she has forsaken us, and let it get hot, and dry, as if it was August time... It appears, that she aint gonna wet on us,..

Played hooky from work most of the day to see if I could FINALLY get Bike
over 10K miles. I started out at 9996 so I figured I could.

Came down 121 the normal way to work and didn't see any of Grapevine's
finest so I felt compelled to push 'just a little'.

Got close to the office then remembered I was 'sick' - yeah, that's my
story and I'm stickin to it.

Hopped on 820W and cruised over to 35W then north. Past the mall traffic
disappeared so I opened it up a little bit more. Then it happened.

Bike must have realized he was out of 'break-in' stage and decided to
open up - 101mph and several miles later I looked at the gas gage which
was showing a little yellow blinky thing. I guess Bike was thirsty.

Pulled off in Argyll and stopped at my favorite little podunk gas stop
and filled up. Went inside to pay the man and just about hit the roof -
$15.00 - normally it's around 12 and some change. Got back out and
looked at the pump - 4.4 gal. Hmm, guess Bike was little low.

Cruised up 377 into Denton and decided to hit the 35E slab. Pulled into
'merican Iggle HD since I finally got over 10K. Checked pricing on the
siren that comes stock on Harley cop bikes - a little out of my range
($700+ for siren/mounting kit/amp, etc). Guess I'll add another 140db
airhorn instead.

AS I was leaving I noticed another retired cop bike - a 2007. The 2007
FLHPI have a 6-speed tranny, performance cam and a 103" motor. Only 8800
miles on it for the low price of $15K. Hmmm, I'm thinking trade-in I am.

Cruised a little further down 35E and whatdayaknow - there's Twin Peaks.

I stopped in for the Philly Cheesesteak and I'll tell ya what - they done
good. Got to talk to a couple of young lasses for a while. Yup, they
definitely got MY attention.

Another notable event occurred in addition to the others - I actually set
a car alarm off in an open parking lot. Brian can remember the fun we
use to have at the One Dallas Centre garage.

Put only 100 miles on but it was nice - beautiful weather, nice scenery
and of course the need for speed.

I'm thinking it's about time for another get together after reading Bill
Sr's thread. I promise - no cross country this time. Wink

Yeah, yesterday was nice.

9,996 to => 10,000 - even I can do that. <g>

$15.00 to top off a motorcycle.... How times have chan-
ged.

Be careful out there on that hot rod Harley.

giving you a call.. <grin> Like you said, and I agree.. all this motocross
nonsense that you and I have become famous for, has got to stop..

Hey William good for you. I did somethng similar the other day. I solo
rode around my area, the other day! My old back, needed a rest, from
''Tile'ing'', so I mounted the big old Valk, and took off.

William, so the 10,000 miles was put on since when? Last Spring, was it?

regards =Mr.JayT=
