Well, I was in the area, travelling from Colorado on my Yamaha FJ1100
and camping. I wasn't there entirely by accident.....I'm a long-time
fan of dirt track races. So I went to the races!

I remember an odd sized track......5/8 mile? Or maybe it was 3/8 mile?
Seems like it was carved outta the red dirt, and sorta sat down in a
spot that was lower than surrounding area. Almost like a bowl, as I
remember.

I was camped across the river, to the west......right by this little
store that sold about the best-ever hand-dipped ice cream!

Yup, done that more times than I should have, still do it too, but stay
in motels or motor homes! A sign of wisdom and age!

I think they claim it a half-mile but it does look longer, there aren't
many math guy's from WV, so who knows? I was there in a monsoon once,
the place looked like a lake, but completely drained off in a couple of
hours...
