If you transfer the bike in your name, in Perth, and then get stopped for a
licence check you'll be showing a Vic licence on a WA bike.
Not sure how the authortiahs will take this.... maybe even just a "get it
done".

However, depending on how good this friend in Perth is, if you can transfer
the bike into THEIR name so when you get stopped for licence check, you are
riding a FRIEND'S bike who's visiting Vic..... Rego is around $200+ a year
nowadays with no pink or green slips to worry about. INsurance may be
another problem....

I was living in Sidders a number of years back and had my WA bike and both
WA and NSW licences... when I was on the bike the WA Goldcard came out.
At all other times the NSW card came out. Worked for me - only ever had one
"get it done".

Cheers,
Gavern

Friend of mine in NSW has had his bike registered in WA for more than ten
years. A lot cheaper but not legal.
