Archived from groups: uk>rec>motorcycles (more info?)

I wanted to be good, I really did. I try, ever day, to have a positive
mental attitude. But somehow, it just doesn't work out that way.

I've done questionable things. Recently. Today, even. I can't help it,
the power has corrupted me. I'm sorry now, and I know I'll be /really/
sorry in the near future. My contrition is unspeakable, but it's no good -
tomorrow, I'll go out and do it all over again.

I knew this would happen, it's why I've always avoided sprotsbikes.
Triple-figure speeds seem like a gentle bimble to me now. Okay, it's not
your Gixxer thou, and it's a bit big and top-heavy, but when I stamp it down
the box a couple and bang the overtaking handle against the back stop, it's
like fucking time travel. I love it.

Above all, it's the /impunity/ of it: I feel like I can do /anything/ on
this bike. It might be a combination of the weight and the power - anything
that doesn't get out of the way, gets *crushed*.

I haven't been caught yet, but it's only a matter of time. They'll throw
away the key, and rightly so. I'm a danger to myself, and everyone else on
the road.

Somebody stop me, before it's too late.

Please.

Help.

That's quite a nice way of looking at the Trophy, yeah. As a sort of
sporting HGV.

I haven't ridden mine since France. Might dig it out again soon.

Goes with the Bentley image: "very fast lorries".

 > I haven't ridden mine since France. Might dig it out again soon.

Mine's been mostly sitting in the shed, but I feel obliged to take it out
occasionally so that the alarm doesn't run the battery down. First day is
okay, if I've been off it for a while. Second day is three-figure speeds
everywhere. Day three, I go berserk...

It's okay, though. Tomorrow I'm off to the Lakes for a week (in the car),
which should calm me down, and then I'll cut it with a lot of Drifter (which
nobody has bought yet...)

Booked in, but not attended to yet. No worries - what's behind doesn't
matter.
