Have the opp.to purchase either a stock 03 ktm 85 sx or a tricked out 03
Kawasaki kx85.My question is anyone own a 03 ktm 85, if so how does the bike
compare to the 04,and how was the reliability and parts availability.Plan to
upgrade on the cr 80 we currently race and need some input on my choices.Btw
$800 difference in price,Kawasaki being more.

Thanx
Peter

Stock KTM.

Trick it out with the parts that YOU want.

From what I understand, not having owned any of these, the 04 ktm is much
different than the 03--taller, more powerful, the only weakness being a
rear brake that is prone to heat fade. If you don't want to spend the $ on
the 04, I'd probably go with the stock bike over "tricked out."
