My observation wasn't intended to be geometrically obtuse, but rather,
etymologically and perspicaciously acute, without offense to some
person's
self image. >> Stay informed about: helmet suggestions? |

i ha a serious compression neck injury from a visor-flip-up at high speed in
a gale, followed by a diagnosis of ms a couple of years later, then the
deer-wreck. i actually have my own anesthesiologist so i have no shortage of
pain strategies. it's the strength issue in my right wrist that is the worst
of all of this stuff. my left hand is now the strong side, but the right
still has more dexterity.
my guitar playing actually improved after the deer whacking, but my desire
to ride fast on heavily wooded backroads has diminished greatly. i have this
little fear that there is a 250 lb buck behind every bush...

I mentioned this to my wife -- a former professional guitarist and
music teacher -- and she tells me that this is not a well-regarded
method for musical advancement. I gather the "Suzuki method" refers
to something quite different.

Funny thing about that. For six months after the last time I came off
(a lowsider, landing on my right shoulder), I felt a distinct twinge
in that shoulder every time I went into an even moderately tight
right-hand turn.

I think the "Suzuki method" means putting your kids on Suzukis at a very
young age. That way they master traction-control skills by the time
they're twelve.

Yeah, I've been there.
Between not having health insurance and having a carpooler, I'm not
riding as much as I have been over the past few years. At least I got
the garage door fixed, so that excuse is out of the way.

The other thing, when I look into my rear view mirror while blasting down
