Head Gasket Torque Settings - I replaced a leaking head gasket on my 85 VT1100 Shadow and the manual calls for torque of 38-42 lbs. As the engine has over 80,000 kms, should I torque to the max of 42 lbs or go less?

Head gasket/block gasket replacement-sealant or not? - I need to put my block & cyclinder head back together. There seems to be different thoughts on if I should use 'dry' gaskets or use some sealant as well. Anyone with suggestions? I read in the manual that they suggest a smear of grease to 'hold' it ...

gasket goodness - ok, so i've got this oil leaking from a couple of gaskets on my 75kz400, which gets on hot parts of the engine/exhaust and makes my bike a smoke generator. i got a gasket set on ebay a few years back, so i'm thinking about trying to solve my problem. ..
