Hi,

I want to get into dirtbiking just as a weekend hobby. And I was wondering
if anyone can recommend by a good make/model for a 125 cc or less dirtbike.

Also is there a site online that allows people to post bikes for sale?
(like autotrader.com in the USA)

Thanks!

Jon

I think that you would like a DRZ125ccor a KLX 125cc.These are 4 stroke
woods bike that require little maintance. If you live in a place with a lot
of hills maybe try the 250 models. Also how big of a person are you?A 125cc
will have a hard time pulling around a 200# person so go to something
bigger.
One of the best places to buy is E-bay,they have alot of bikes to choose
from at some good prices. Also check out the local paper, now is a good time
to get end-of-season deals.Second check out the biker pages on the net like
groups that have for sale listings. Also look into the dealer sites on used
bikes.Always try to get you best deal even if it is just a free oil
change. These people need you bussiness so work them a little and they should
be able to help you out.

Decide how much $ you want to spend before you go looking.New verses
used?good question some would say that new is the only wat to go ,but others
would rather buy used (like myself because I know a little about bikes) and
save a couple of bucks.Just look at the condition fo the bike over all and
you can get a pretty good idea.Tires,seat cover,chain,plastics,bars etc.I
think that everybody should at least try biking once in their life! So good
luck and let me know if you need any more help or advice,IT'S FREE unlike
alot of the things on the net! David Beggs
P.S. Sorry for the long post but the more you know the better the whole
thing will be.Have a great day! Smile

What about a KDX125? That would be a great beginnersbike, very capable of
trails, and if you really want, a loop on the MX-track is not a joke. may a
bit more aggressive than a 4-stroke, but for serious trailing, you could use
that. You don't have to if you don't want to offcourse. I like mine in any
case Smile
