From memory they were pretty popular little sporties at the time.
Probably behind the RZ250 but more popular than the RG250 or the unloved MVX
Honda.
Bugger-all smokers from 1984 survive today so I'd doubt you'd see many now.

I know the Moto Guzzi v8 was a full faired[1] bike - circa 1955

Road bike? no idea. Very early 1980's?

[1] Dustbin type - banned from 1957 season onwards - considered
dangerous in cross winds.

But that wasn't Jap Johno.
(and no sneaking in any J.A.P. engined, Dustbin-fairinged racers either!!)

The VT250F was a bikini faired bike, the VT250FII was the fully faired
version. The earliest derivative of which was the Red/Blue version.

I'm still not sure I'd call the CB1100RC a real production bike... it
was pretty much a limited edition (yes I know there were arguments about
that at the time too).

The Yammy XJ650 Turbo is the earliest I could think of too...

...given it's still harsh week, you know what you can do Clem! Wink

My '83 model RZ250 gets regular use.

...and, my bike was originally sold with a full fairing, which is
believed to have been fitted by some importer in SA.

Oh, OK then.

> PS; I'd love one of the last-model RZ350s in my shed!

BTW, my 250 with chambers got clutch slip on the standard clutch parts
and had to get TZ clutch bits installed.

I hate to think how you get the power of the 350 to the road.

With "OBRUT" on the front so you could tell what it was in your mirrors
after you'd passed it.

I don't remember a faired version of the Boldor around at that time. I
think it came about '82. Seems to me they all pretty much hit the market
at the same time...

I think JL's still trying-not-very-hard to sell the KR1S if you consider
going green...
