got myself a bike and went for the 250
http://www.members.iinet.net.au/~epicure1/Picture%20005.jpg
anyways, only had it for a couple of days and it goes well, i got told to
use a 40:1 fuel/oil mix. any1 disagree with this?
also ive been told about 3 times how to figure out how much oil to put in to
mix with the fuel but i keep forgetting. So if im going for 40:1 for
example, how do i figure it out with say 10 litres of fuel, would be the
same principal with whichever measurement you use as i assume most of you
guys are from the states so any help is appreciated. >> Stay informed about: fuel mix |

40 to 1, for example .. liters, would be 40 liters fuel to 1 liter oil. So
10 liters fuel to 1/4 liter of oil.
If you use a synthetic blend or pure synthetic oil you could mix in less,
some go to 60 to 1 with pure synthetic.

10 litres / 40 = .25 litres

Just turn the litres into ml by multiplying by 1000.
Eg, 5 litres =5000ml
Then divide by 40.
So 5000 divided by 40 = 125ml of oil for every 5 litres.

Get a Ratio-Rite. Pour oil into it til it hits the line marked 40:1.
Dump it into the can of fuel. Mix well. Pour into tank. Go ride.

But how do you know if the can of fuel is marked 40:1?
