Jeff ...

Can't remember where I saw it, Harbor Freight, or Heartland America. A
foldable/
collapsable tent, about $40, just the right size and perfect for a bike.
A lot cheaper than CycleShelter, and real easy to use.

Is that what life is really all about?
Horns honking, and people yelling?

The difference between the 2 would be that the CycleShelter opens in
such a way as to allow easy access, is easier to set up and store, and
unlike a normal tent it's arched frame pieces would be able to stop more
than a few leaves or raindrops.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->

Polarhound ...
This 'tent' I saw was (like) a two man tent, and was real light, but
could be pegged down. It had a zipper flap thing for getting in & out.
The big thing about this was it folded up and down like an ubrella. 20
seconds and it was up, and about the same to store it in it's case.
I gotta hunt that ad down.
I know it sounds Mickey mouse, but it really was cool. Smile

No winter storage for me this year - I've decided not to put my bike up this winter and will attempt to ride at times on dry days. What are opinions of how often I should ride to avoid any battery drainage, sludging, or override other winter storage rituals? Thanks

Winter Storage Question - Do most of you really 'store' your bike(s) in the winter? I've Never taken a battery out of a bike in the cold weather unless there's (like) a weeks worth of terribly cold temps ahead. Sure, I use StaBil, but I also keep those bikes running. I mean,..

Tools - Winter Storage - Should I bother taking all of my tools inside for the winter? My garage is not heated. I'm thinking socket set, torque wrench, compressor, air impact, air ratchet, etc. -- War is Peace Freedom is Slavery Ignorance is Strength

Long term storage question - beyond just the winter... - Greetings, Just put my 85 Nighthawk 650 into winter storage. (you know, full tank with Stabil, new oil and filter, battery out, bags on exhaust, cleaned and covered in an unheated garage in MA.) I may be needing eye surgery and recovery may cause me to...

Oil change before storage? - Is it necessary to replace perfectly good oil (2000 miles) before storing the bike? The Yamaha owner's manual mentions all the usual stuff (gas, cylinders, battery, etc.) but nothing about changing the oil. What about at startup in the spring? I expect....
