Yep, and I don't think Kenny boy ever forgave GW.

Seems when Clinton was president, Enron ran wild, and when GW got in they
got busted.

Funny how that worked, isn't it.

Well, if you're going to blame Enron on a president, blamne the one in
office when the offences occured, not the one in office when the crimes
were discovered and the perpetrators punished.

Personally, I don't think either one had anything to do with it, either
way.

You are correct. The team that does the best 'packaging', the team that
does the better job of organizing and, in this case, maybe the team that
does the better job of convincing the super-delegates. I guess it would be
too much to ask the voting public to delve deeper into the candidate and
look past the facade. When shrub ran against Ann Richards for Texas
governor, there was a letter to the editor in the Dallas Morning Snooze
from a lady who thought shrub would be the better choice. Her reason? He
had a wife and two daughters and she thought that they would look good in
the Governor's mansion.

she looked past his indicretions and kept the cheating bastard.... and look
at how good they are now...

Deregulation started with Reagan and has continued through every
administration since including GW Bush. Shrub is just too brash and
stupid to try to sty low-profile like his predecessors. Clinton is as
culpable for a big chunk of deregulation as any of the rest.

Some deregulation has been good, some has been really bad. Moderation
in all things. Excessive government regulation is as bad as no
regulation at all. Unless people are held responsible, they can not
be trusted to do the right thing. When you protect people with
corporations, it is madness to think they will make socially
responsible decisions. A little regulation to keep the community sand
box clean is a very good thing.

Watched "Michael Clayton" last night. Good flick.

I kept flashing on the whole Hewlett-Packard "pretexting" shenanigans, with an occasional
segue off into "vital interests".

A slippery slope indeed. You either do the right thing, or you don't. There is no try.
