New to bike riding in AUS - Hi all, I have driven bikes (150 cc) for @ 10 years but not in AUS. In AUS I need to start with 250cc as per law and hence my choice is narrowed down to 250cc. I like bikes and wanted one for drive. Most likely, I will be keeping the bike..

They're just money pits mate. I got a new bearing for my bicycles
bottom end and it only cost $45 Smile

My whole bicycle cost $12. Put new tyres on it, rode it for 2 years, and
just ditched it last weekend.

I got this one http://picasaweb.google.co.uk/lemmiwinks.au/Shogun/photo#5171814645067180450
for free. It needed tyres, tubes, rim tape, chain (not really), front
dérailleur, pedals, some grease and a seat. The $45 cartridge bottom
bracket is a worthwhile addition since I won't be ditching it any time
soon. Even a fat slow bastard like me is reasonably quick on it.

A simple headjob turned into a major rebuild.

Sleeves and pistons, block reco...... About $2k so far. She's gonna go well
