So Jerry Cook calls me and tells me he needs some brake pads for this
weekend. I tell him I'll call Matt and have him bring some with him to the
race. So I call up Matt and ask him to bring some brake pads. Then he
says, oh yea, your buddy Everett is here. Matt explains to me that he came
up with an even better idea, one that could be argued over. He told Everett
that he had an MXC, not an EXC. Evidently this infuriated Everett, cause he
had lots of dealers say they had an MXC and that they would put a headlight
on for him. I guess these dealers didn't understand that the difference is
bigger than that. Lights, front and rear, odo/computer, bigger lighting
coil, and a wide ratio tranny. Anyway, I guess some bickering ensued... To
the point where the sales manager finally pulled Matt aside and said, man we
gotta drop this before this guy explodes!!!

I was laughing pretty good at this point, and I could hear others in the
background laughing... But then Matt says, here Everett wants to talk to
you, and he hands the phone to Everett. The first words out of Everett's
mouth is, "HEY! ASSHOLE!" Oh my GOD I lost it!!! I was laughing so hard,
I couldn't hear what Everett said after that. I could hear other guys
laughing in the background tho. Damn that was funny!!!

Everett has assured me there will be retribution. And it will be a lot more
severe than the ole zip tie on the tent zippers trick.

Everett, thanks for letting me have fun at your expense. It made my
Friday!!! And most of all, CONGRATS on the new ride!!!

You know, Matt was asking me the same types of questions when I was talking
to him on the phone. =) I assured him that Everett is the laid back type,
and that he probably wouldn't get shot full of holes over the deal.
