Found this while trolling ebay:
2006 HARLEY DAVIDSON SOFTTAIL. GARAGE KEPT . MY WIFE WANTED ME TO BUY
BIKE TO RIDE BUT WE HARDLY EVER RIDE TOGETHER SO, I WAS SELL.
His wife wants him to buy a bike? That's the exact opposite problem I've
had all my life.
Also, there's a high milage Road King on there with a buy it now price
of $7500. Seems like a good deal to me since it will probably sell for
less that that. I'll send the link if anyone's interested.

I'm betting most here know how to use ebay. The only time ebay links are
worth posting is when it's something to laugh about / at.

My told me she saw mine for sale down the street and I told her I couldn't
afford it. She never said a word but drove down to the bank and came back
with thousands of dollars in hard cold $100.00 bills and handed them over to
me saying "Go get your bike."

The grammer ("I was sell") tells me that this may very well be a scam.
Does it have a BIN price that just seems to be "too good to be true"?
Like, around 7500 bucks?
> Also, there's a high milage Road King on there with a buy it now price
> of $7500.
HMMMMMMmmmmmmm. What year is the bike? Twin-Cam or Evo?
Are there pictures, and is it in really nice shape? The scammers have
been running scams like this for ages. They phish until some poor sap
gives up their personal information then use their account to "sell" a
Harley (always Twin-cams, that I've seen) for real cheap... generally
$6500 to $7500 bucks.
This reaks of a scam but having said that, I HAVE NOT LOOKED AT THE
AUCTION so it is PURE SPECULATION ON MY PART.
If it's a Evo, it may be a legit auction.
> Seems like a good deal
Does it seem to be, "too good to be true"? Run a google on this group
to see how many times folks come on here asking about a bike on e-bay
with a unrealistic Buy-It-Now price and note how many of them were
scams (hint: ALL of 'em!).
Watch yer back on low price Harley's, on e-bay.
It's the old case of, BUYER BEWARE!
Butt of course, YMMV...

Either you are gravely ill and imagining the ideal wife or you have the
ideal wife. If the latter, the house owes her a round -

Ok, what proof do you have it's legitimate? At the very least, they left
out a 1 on the front of the price. My guess is it's a scam though.
Florida tag on a bike located in Texas, with a BIN about the same as an
engine only?

Sorry, I beat you to it. I just wired the money to the guy's bank
in Nigeria. Sounded kinda fishy, but he explained that by banking
overseas he doesn't have to pay taxes on the money, which is why
he can sell it so cheap. Made sense to me.

I've seen a lot of those too. I always bid on them. It gives me
pleasure. This one is in ok shape. What the hell, here's the link:

I'm pretty sure this one's ok. With 54K miles, it seems like a fair
price, but for folks like me who can't spend a ton on their ride it
might be a good opportunity. That's why I posted it.
I'm not really in the market. I'm just about to finally get my '95
Springer inspected and registered that I just imported into Canada. What
a lot of red tape that was.
