People can laugh or whatever, but I saw the identical issue 15 years ago at
work. The rules within the religion indeed state that you do not put
anything over the turban. This guys not effing around and trying to fight
the lid law, he's just saying that the lid law conflicts with his religion's
teachings. My vote is let the guy ride, but it ain't up to me.
Note how clean and tidy his turban is. Sikhs wash the thing every night and
wrap the gazzillion feet of cloth around thier bean every morning. Now you
know how to recognize a Sikh, when you see a really tidy, crisply done
turban - that's probably a Sikh. In my experience Sikhs are some of the
kindest, most peaceful folks on the planet, not quite Quaker peaceful but
more kind than many of the 'Christians' in the church I was raised in.
Never discuss religion or politics. It's good advice, why am I ignoring it?
