Hi everybody!
I'm a 28-year-old student from Germany, writing a diplomary thesis on
the terminology of two-stroke engines. One of the main issues with this
thesis is, that I need to have definitions. While I have most of them,
some are a bit tacky. My current problem is that I need to find one on
"fuel/oil mixture" in two-stroke engines. I can quote books and
internet (but didn't find any definition) or an expert with English as
native language. Now, what I would like you to do: Could one of you
write something like "The fuel/oil mixture in a two-stroke engine is a
mixture of fuel and oil in a certain ratio. The oil is added to the
fuel in order to lubricate the engine" (if possible, without any
potential mistakes I made in this definition). Could someone help me?
thanks!

Thank you very much for this hint! I guess, this will be enough for the
definition. I will use it together with a context entry and I think it
will work. I know that the definition I proposed is reduntant; yet it
is a statistical problem: I have to define the entries in a certain way
and sometimes this is nonsense.

Should be "when" or "if" the crankcase is being used to hold the
air-fuel mixture. Not all two-strokes are designed to hold the
mixture in the crankcase.

So *edit* it!

You might also add *stuffed crank* to the "Intake and compression" section.
