Depends on make and model.....

All really nice and interesting bikes need to be ridden frequently.

If you are in the Sydney area, I might be able to help you out.... Smile

run it with the petrol off till it runs out of juice. If you can't
turn the petrol off, then cross fingers the stuff won't gum up the
fuel system.

throw a cover over it, dust accumulates.

Pump up the tyres.

Just disconnect it, or better yet, leave it on a trickle charger.

5 weeks???

do nothing (maybe disconnect the battery)

if the battery dies in that amount of time you need a new one

just do a good pre-check before you ride

I understood that it was preferable, if possiable, to store the bike with
both wheels off the ground an to deflate the tyres.
I've been wrong in the past though, several times.

Storing long term - several months or more - its good to have both
off the ground. Doesn't hurt in short term, but pumping up works as
well.
