Pretty much what I thought at the time, but this little diddy kinda'
says it all...

"The evidence presented by the teams included an e-mail sent by an
involved AMA tech official to one of the involved teams, admitting that
an error had been made and asking the team not to lodge an
appeal--because doing so would likely result in the original penalty
being overturned, thus damaging the image of the AMA and the sport of
professional motorcycle racing in this country."

Wow! I guess they're taking cues from our "fearless" leader, huh?
Patriotism, the last resort of scoundrels and, well, you know who...

Impressively quiet rumor mill around here. Lots of people looking
over their shoulders, gangFAXing their resumes, otherwise silent.

No idea what's up. Maybe should be taken at face value - Dingman
is getting rid of the old cronies and making space for his cronies.
Maybe not.

Go fast. Take chances.

T3 changed the subject line to:

" housing market suffers further depression in the Sturdyburg area"

Just sold a rental house 2 months ago for more than I paid for
it 3 years ago. So it depends on where/how much/etc. Just like
anyplace else. Don't feel too sorry for us.

For some, maybe, but I kinda' think it was more like sunset to these guys..

http://www.cyclenews.com/ShowStory.asp?HeadlineID=11697

I found this a particularly touching farewell, especially so, given
their decades of dedication to M/C racing in this country. " According
to someone familiar with the dismissals, they ̉changed the locks,
canned them and then ordered them escorted out of the building so they
couldn't talk to anyone."

Given that guys are being shown the door who really weren't involved
that much with the racing effort it could be just another purge, but it
could also mean a serious offer is on the table too. Heh, either that,
or they now realize no one's interested in picking up the pieces and
Dingdong is just scaling back trying to keep the lobbying effort alive.
If you get the chance, try to find out if there's any big rush to
replace all the timing equipment that was burnt up last month, that
might signal "something," though exactly what, I'm not sure...

Good for him!

While not the kind of email you might write to move up the
ladder, others in the industry will take notice. And Larry is
a good guy, he'll do fine. I hope.

A key to their future motives might be how, when, or what they're going
to do about the timing equipment that was lost in the trailer fire. You
would think that if there was something afoot for someone else to
take-over they might be hesitant to spend the buck$ to replace it. So,
if you hear anything concerning that please let us know. BTW, it was
sorely missed at the recent DIS test...
