Smile I am not sure now if the question was to me or not, so I will answer it
anyway.

Currently ride 749s (2003 model), red, with a few Carbon Fibre bits on it
(from Casoli Moto). Looking to get a performance exhaust now, not "full
race" as the cops a re a bit anal here about that and we have one living in
the village. It's the best bike I've ridden, handles like a dream and enough
performance to keep me grinning every time I go out on it.

Previously had an ST4s (2001 model), "titanium grey" I tihnk it is know as
.... amusingly called "bat barf grey" by some. Matt and grey, anyway. That's
a 996 motor, get the gearing right (because they softened it over here on
later models) and it (accidentally) pulls wheelies. Lots of grunt, lots of
fun, did a 20 day tour around France last summer and it proved to be capable
and comfortable. Only traded it for the 749s because I had always promised
myself one when I could afford it!

Previsou to that was an ST2 (1997 model). Bit of a "lemon" in that it had
not been looked after well in the past and was in to the dealer every 5
minutes. That's a 944cc 2 valve, very capable for it's intended role which
is "sports touring". More relaxing, less frantic ride than the ST4s. I can
imagine that the new ST3 is quite good as a compromise between them, but I
think they have spoilt looks too much now. Guess we'll get used to it like
the 999/749 which I now love.

Wifey rides a Monster 620cc, M620Sie (2003 model). It's metallic blue, good
fun to ride and she loves it to bits. She is new to riding bikes and it is
managable enough for her to ride around town to work but quick enough if you
want it to be for some fun too.

Cheers

Well HW, enjoyed your comments....I wonder if the Ducati bikes are
popular in the UK, like Honda's and Harleys are here in the states? I
said earlier, there are very few Duck bikes in this area, NE Texas.
Does Duckati build any "croth-rocket' types. also known as "sportBikes"?
You might just be describing one below when you told of you bike, the
03, 749s.
I think that's pretty cool, that your wifey rides as
well......=95bogee=95

Hi Bogee, Ducati's seem to be increasingly popular in the UK, although Jap
bikes are prevailent (probably due to crap UK weather - Ducati's are better
these days on reliability in the wet but they (can) cost nearly twice the
equivalent Jap price so tend to be tucked up in a warm dry place most of the
time!).

Does Ducati build any "sportbikes"? Are you kidding? Take a roam around
http://www.ducati.com/bikes/index.jhtml particularly the "superbike"
section. That is where you will find the 749/999 range.

Here is a link to some picutres of our bikes
http://217.155.238.203/handk/index.php - the site is neither flashy nor
clever, it's jsut a bunch of tumbnails which open larger when you click on
them. I set it up to show mates scattered about the country what we are up
to. Enjoy!

Cheers
Henry

Thanks for the home pictures Henry. The 2003 Monster in Blue looks good.
Here in Australia we get only Red, Yellow, Black (both), no Blue.
I prefer the round mirrors on Kirstens bike than the trendy ones on my 04
model, and the 5 speed box is better than the 6 speed, even with the change
to the front sprocket to 14 teeth.

Thanks for the comments, Rob.

Blue is the only colour for Kirst when it comes to bikes. Not sure why that
should be, but it does rule out any new Dukes for her at the moment because
in the UK Ducati have "streamlined their range", as the dealer put it.
Meaning ... "you get less choice this year mate!". Basically, you get Red,
Yellow, Black and that's about it I think.

She dose like the "retro look", the mirrors being a part of that of course.
She has a 60's style leather "bomber jacket" with Ducati "historical"
patches and a "Spiderman" helmet too. Different anyway! Smile

Both bikes are going in for exhaust upgrades in a couple of weeks. My 749s
is getting a 50mm Termi box and the Monster is having a pair of Carbon Fibre
cans from Remus. That should wake the neighbours from their slumber! Wink

Cheers

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~BBogee here: WOW, what nice looking
Ducati Motorcycle Photos....I am impressed...I really appreciate the
idea that Your Wife rides......I noticed she didnt have much of a
W-Shield.<> Am I kidding you asked? I can see that I was ignorant about
the Ducati building "Sport" ones, it appears that they build the supreme
"sport" bikes......I don't particularly like the so called
"Croth/rockets", as they are know here in the U.S....but that doesnt
matter, I appreciate any fine motorcycle, and yours and the Wifey's are
down right spiffey. (sharp).
