There's this idjit on a red crotch rocket that heads south on I35 every
morning from Carrollton. He even has matching red and white leathers. More
than once I've seen him doing wheelies in the HOV lane during rush hour
traffic. I always wonder which morning I'm gonna see him further down the
road impaled on the LBJ merge sign. Life's too short to ride so crazy.

If that's the case, it sounds like a great revenge tactic on somebody.
For instance, in the "Justice?" thread, one could call from pay phones
and the folks at 911 them send the fire dept. ambulance etc. over to
the guy's house that hit-n-run the cyclist and have him keep paying
till the end of time. >> Stay informed about: Saw a crash today |

IT's alway people like that who usually hurt other drivers, and they're
okay.
What a dickhead this guy was.
I have no pity on him.

True, but you can't lead a horse to the trough.
He obviously doesn't have value for life; his or otherwise.
People like that who disrepect "the ride" deserve it when their brains are
splattered on the road.
I just pity those who have to pick up the pieces..

The best statement I ever heard on that one was out of one of the bike rags.
It compared a scene from Star Wars.
When on a bike going up against a 4 wheeler, "Let the Wokee win."

It all a matter of degree. To my mother, getting on a bike of any
kind is insane. Its his bike and his body. Let him wreck them any
way he likes. And I dont want to hear about his giving us all a bad
name. I hate to tell you, but its too late, we already have a bad
name.
Sit down and have a drink on me.

Thks for the Makers Mark!
My Mom is taking a new life insurance policy out on me. She figures my only
future now is death by Harley. I've always loved pissing off Ma, which,
after 49 years of being my Ma, she's figured out. She just had to get in the
last word when I rode over to her house last week. "Sure is a pretty bike".
Heck, I wanted to fight <g>
FWIW, I said _he_ was an idjit. Yeah, it is his body. I just don't care
to have the pieces of his body land on me when he eventually makes that one
mistake. I'm a squeamish old broad.
Shirley, give John another of what he's having. Don't forget the rest of
the group either.

Hi, brand new here. Just did a search on crotch rocket dangers and found this. My son died a week ago Sunday, on June 19th. Just trying to find answers, he was new at this and a thrillseeker since the day he was born. He was only 28, we just finished his ceremonies on Sunday by spreading his ashes at his favorite Drop Zone (he was an avid skydiver)
He was riding with a couple of friends last Sat nite, the 18th, about 2 am, according to police report he was going 75 mph, when his rear tire (I believe) hit the curb, he was thrown 242 ft and hit a street sign. I went to the scene, and it's so hard to believe a little bitty curb took out my son. I just don't understand >> Stay informed about: Saw a crash today |
