I got a flash this morning on the way into work. Kars Street,
Frankston South, Victoria.
I looked at my speedo and was surprised to see I was indeed over the
limit, but by less than 10 kph. What surprised me most though was the
covert camera: a car fog light flashed.
Perhaps I'm quite good at sticking to the limit and the only reason
I've never seen one before now is that I haven't been flashed by one.
I thought they were all blue boxes. >> Stay informed about: Another covert speed camera |

Vic Govco $afety Camera$ have had the flash in the fog lights for well
over a year now, maybe longer, it would have been a Rodeo twin cab or
Dunnydore wagon, Camera is on the Dash and the radar is in a box above
the front number plate..

It was indeed a Red Dunnydore. Got eggs. BTW a banana up the exhaust
converts it into a fixed camera. >> Stay informed about: Another covert speed camera |

It may not have been a camera car and he could be playing with your mind

If you have been done, are you aware that there are provisions for being
excused under certain circumstances, however this doesn't happen without
making an application.

As long as you were caught between Woodlands Grove and Williams street you
have got no chance of appeal
if it was outside these streets, then you may have a chance >> Stay informed about: Another covert speed camera |

No, that was definitely a speed camera car. As Marty described, the
left foglight is angled to face the road and acts as the flash.
Speed Kills.

You must not have received any other infringements or traffic offences
in the past 5 years, and you must admit that you were speeding and say
you are sorry... and you are not "excused". You are only excused from
receiving the normal penalty. The offence you admit to is still
recorded on your licence history.

Thanks for the heads up. What was the rego? I like to jot them all
down in a note pad, and then every time I approach a car parked on the
side of the road, I stop, get out my notepad, compare the registration
of the parked vehicle to all of those which are noted in my notebook.
If it's on my list of speed camera cars, I ride by slowly. If it isn't
on my list I ride by slowly in case it's a speed camera vehicle which
isn't on my list.
