Drinks.

We had a little breeze called Juan come through our way on Sunday night, and
so far I've just been going between home and work, which has kept me out of
downtown Halifax. I had no idea the winds were so strong until I looked at
some pics that I was directed to:

I'm beginning to think that we got off lucky.

Yep. There was a boat called Lorinda that one of your naval ships rammed in
Halifax harbor causing it to sink. It was built here and a fairly spectacular
remake of a pirate ship.

Try this one: <a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="http://www3.ns.sympatico.ca/jag/Hurricane_Pictures" target="_blank">http://www3.ns.sympatico.ca/jag/Hurricane_Pictures</a>

BTW, when I was driving through Quebec on the way back from Vermort 11 I
kept passing the signs for the end of a construction zone and was reminded
of you each time. They read "FIN", if they had an "s" at the end I would
have stopped for a picture.

You shouldn't been here for the BJ Isabel gave us here in the
Tidewater area of Va. Hot damn, she could have sucked the chrome off
a whole damn trailer. Not just the hitch. Most were without power
for days. Personally I was down & out for eight.

My in-laws live in Chesapeake, and they had most of the trees around their
house snapped or pulled up by the roots. They were without power for
several days.

Damn, it's going to be a long time before my home town is the same.
It's a shame to see those beautiful old trees on the ground.

The in-laws are in Great Bridge area, just south of the canal off on
Johnston. I'll have to look ya up next time I'm up there. Don't get to
ride the bike up much, ol lady won't ride since we hit a deer almost 5
years ago, so we take the cage when we go to visit.
