The question is, what bike am I about to get? It's not new, it's not
a 2-stroke and the price was perfect. I hope I don't kill myself on
it. I'll stick with my Gassers for the TST.

OK, I'll guess an '86 GSXR1100 that someone gave you for free?

I think you have insider information.

I was going to guess dual sport/adventure bike.

What kind of idiot would mess around with a bike that old?

I will guess it has 3 numbers in it like 450?

Mike I have 450 for MX and a 250 2smoke for the woods stuff. Couldn't be
happier with both of them in thier element.

Or maybe an FZR400 from the same generous donor.
Curious...

Nah, that person has a GSXR750 (91 or 92, I can't recall for sure
right now), so if Mike got an 1100 it didn't come from there.

Craig - who was really tempted to ride one home

I'm getting the bike from a friend, but not someone that breaks
frames.

At this point we know it's a four stroke and not a sportbike. That
could be anything from a scooter to a Boss Hoss (350 Chevy Harley-like
thing).

How about another clue?

Wait... you never specified that it was engine powered at all. One of
these maybe?

Hmmmm...

Lots of stuff that's red w/black trim. Plenty of old Ninjas were black
w/red trim, but you said it's not a sportbike. Is the black/red the
factory paint scheme?

Honda Ascot?

I dunno. I'm gonna go to bed and see if I dream up the answer.

I got a new bike yesterday - well, my wife actually. It's red/black,
2002 model. It's Japanese, four stroke, off-road. There are about
eleventy billion of them out there, and I think you had one in your
garage for a while.
