Can and how do you push start a motorcycle?

Mine only weighs 360 pounds so it shouldn't
be hard. I use to push start my vw beetle easily.

Comments?

I used to have to do it often in my old KZ1100. Turn the key on, engine
switch to RUN, in 2nd gear (or 1st some say), pull in the clutch and push it.
When it gets to speed pop the clutch. And hopefully it'll start. A good
downhill run helps a lot.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->

It's easier to maintain the battery properly and replace it when it
dies.

Oh, yes, and push-starting a motorcycle does not mean rolling downhill
and pushing the starter button.
