No, mine is a stock cylinder bored 3mm over. There's plenty of meat on
a stock cylinder.

With the stock piston? At about 80 hours, I pulled mine down and saw
some wear in the cylniner from the piston rocking in the bore.I did
put another stock piston in it and it ran fine before I decided to go
big.

There isn't much advantage going to an '06 head.

But that's fairly pricey. My 480 stuff cost about $350 for everything.

I have a custom ground cam from Crower Cams. Good stuff.

You're the only person I've ever heard of that didn't like the fww.
Everyone else absolutely loves what they do. Chocolate and vanilla, I
guess.

US Chrome. A new cylinder is relatively cheap. I keep a stock new
spare cylinder. I think my cost on it was something like $155. Might
be worth it to cut down time to a minimum.

I have with no problems and I have the SS valves.

So do I but the fww cuts down on the need to clutch it coming out of
corners.

"slightly" used gear oil color ? - Hi all, I just drained the oil on my '99 YZ250. I replaced it about 4 weekends ago (Golden Spectro W80) so it has maybe 8-12 hours of riding at the local MX tracks. What color should I expect the oil to be ? I was surprised to see how dark greyish it..
