hardly so.
might need carb and exhaust to match cylinder.

Besides that, the cylinder wouldn't match up to the cases.
That said, it could be done, but do you really want to machine the cases
and mount new engine studs?

Yeah, don't waste your time. Shoe-horn a CR250 motor
in there instead.

OK how about boring out a 50 to a 70 ? Is there enough sidewall ? I am
thinking maybe Honda just uses the same cylinder with different bore sizes.
Thanks,

Right now XR50 mods are only limited by your bank account. I just got the
new Chaparral catalog and his several pages dedicated to 50 hop ups. In that
catalog, they have 88cc kits from Takegawa and BBR, a 81.2cc kit from
Takegawa a 82cc kit from BBR, and a 110cc "super pro stroker" kit from BBR.
Prices range from $332 to $1199. Flip the page and there are several exhaust
to choose from. Nex page shows a new CDI box, some billet bling bling, gold
chains, and air filters. If your going all out the next page has new forks
with a disk brake and a fully adjustable shock for the rear. While your at
it gao back a few pages in the catalog and order you a new aluminum BBR
frame, some carbon fiber goodies, and some fresh graphics. Like I said, your
only limitation is you bank account.

If you google "Honda min trail" you'll find a couple of sites selling
reasonably priced big bore kits.
This guy sells one for $165. This way you don't have to mess with
mixing/matching parts. I have one of these 88cc kits on my old Z50, and it
roosts!

Like when Bevo Forte put a Bultaco 250 motor in an XR-75 frame! Rode it
once, put it away forever!
Yeah, that would be fun!

Actually, the cylinders are different between them. You probably could
bore it out that far, but I do know that they are different.
