Yup. I've been playing with it myself. It actually is kinda handy. I
can definitely see where out on the road it will be very good to have.

If I get a minute, I'll post a pic of my Zumo 550/XM
antenna/right-angle cable installation. It worked out great. I
velcroed the XM antenna (which is also the radio receiver itself, btw)
above the left speaker like Steve did, ran the usb cable through the
same hole the clutch cable goes through into the fairing, back out
below where the other cables go into the fairing around the handle
bars. Routed the mini-stereo cable through the same lower holes around
to the aux input. Dealer had already wired the power cable through
those same holes to the ignition switch. And, I had a spare SD card,
so I put a couple of my favorite tunes on it and the Zumo is an MP3
player, too.

Now all I need is some decent weather to ride in. A good rain shower
first to wash all the salt off the streets would be nice, too.

Yeah, yeah - bitch, moan - but you know what I mean!

Shirley, more coffee, please, and pour a round for my friends, too.

Over achiever. Not that there's anything wrong with that...

The Zumo has a safety feature that keeps the moving rider from making
changes while riding. It is easily turned off. So at least for the
Zumo, the safety crew aren't Nazis, they're more like monkeys with
short attention spans.

Yup. As the old song says, "Keep your shifty eyes on the road
ahead..."

Turns out I don't need a Scala Rider headset - my little old Motorola
H500 works just fine. The HJC helmet has large cutouts in the padding
around the ears, plenty of space to wear the bluetooth earpiece and
get my helmet on. Tried it out by calling a few people, and even with
my helmet on, they said it sounded fine.

The Zumo 550 syncs all the contacts and phone numbers from my cell
phone, so when I'm riding I can pick somebody out of the address book
on the GPS and control all the phone functions right there - place
calls, answer calls, mute, etc., all on the GPS screen. Nice.

Now I know why so many of you guys like this GPS. Not only is it a
great GPS, but it can do XM radio, NavTraffic, weather, and control
your phone, too. And automatically route you around traffic jams and
bad weather. Very cool.
