Wow, what a great day of riding today(Saturday). Rode the 1st and 2nd
loops Jim had flagged, yesterday. Today we rode the 3rd loop. Tight
single track with lots of side hill off camber stuff. The forest floor
covered with leaves makes it hard to tell where the trail goes
sometimes if you lose sight the rider in front of you. Whoever laid
out these trails does not like "any" straight lines. After the 3rd
loop, we rode the 1st again with what seemed to be a little different
section thrown in. It was about 17 miles. Really cool, so cool that
when we got back to camp, we decided to do it again. Still heard of no
major injuries all day. Especially given the number of riders we had.
We easily had twice the people show up for Saturday.
Thanks to Deb for making 3 gallons of gumbo for supper. She thought
that would be plenty but there were several that missed out. It was
excellent.
Got a few more pictures today. When I get home I'll get them on my
website and post a link here to them.
Saw lots of familiar faces, Jim, OP, Keith, Everett, Mx Phlipper and
others. Met lots of others for the first time. Hope I can remember
their names the next time I see them.
I'm headed up to Chadwick in the morning instead of riding here
Sunday. Doesn't sound like there's gonna be much of a turnout for that
part of the ride.
Later,
