Looking for a new clutch for the Pig. Anyone recommend a brand of clutch
suited to a sports bike carrying a fat bastard?

Also need metal quick-disconnect fuel fittings to replace the OEM Triumph
ones. Anyone know who/where I might go to to find them?...

Suspension also. Need a shop to supply/fit good quality suspension to suit
Trump carrying fat bastard. Willing to travel.

It's Christmas time for the Pig...

Australian Italian imports http://www.ausit.com.au/Home.htm have CPC
fuel couplings which, judging by the picture, are the same ones I
bought a few years back. Not metal though, but I've not had any
trouble with them.

What's gone wrong with the Trumpy ones? Why metal?

Tourtech.de sell them in 6 and 8 mm, but it's not
clear from the photos whether they're metal or
white nylon. EUR20 or so each.

Metal quick release fuel fits?

The Triumph dealers can get em... ten bucks each.

These are male-ends... the fuel hose end... to replace the dodgy (and now recalled) plastic ones.

The OEM plastic fittings on Trumpies are CPC. (plastic). CPC also have a metal version. The metal fittings being retrofitted to all
Triumphs don't appear to be CPC but a generic version.

The plastic fittings can fracture and are quite brittle.

Very careful tank fitment is required to prevent bumping the frame.

Nothing yet, but apparently it's only a matter of time till the plastic
connectors break. I want to replace them rather than have to do it before I
get stranded in Bumfuck, W.A.

Metal for durability because I like to only have to replace parts once.

Irrespective of whether out-of-warranty, Triumph Oz is recalling all bikes (unless it's an ex-MI2 bike ...).

So contact any Trumpy dealer to book it in and get it done for nicks.

Naah! get it done for yours, and let Nick look after his own bike.
After all, the cost is nix!

I'm a big lad with a heavy CBR1000. I changed to Barnett Plates &
Springs. Cost me $250 and I did it myself in 15 minutes.

Try Enzed or other places that service the hydralic industry.

Just go the whole hog and go for Ohlins or wp. Rebuildable and bloody huge
difference.

When you say retrofitted, you don't mean it's an official Triumph part, do
you?...

That answers my earlier question. I'll see if they'll just give me the
parts. I don't trust their monkeys to fit them...

Barnett is about the only name I can remember in regard to clutches. I knew
they sold Hogly clutches, wasn't sure about other makes. Know where I can
get 'em?

Ohlins would be what I'm looking at. Plus a change of springs to suit my
weight. Know who sells and fits 'em?...Brissie's closest but as I said, I'm
willing to travel...

CPC is the OEM plastic part for Triumph.

CPC also manufacture the same fitting in metal.

The metal fittings supplied to me by Triumph do not appear to have any CPC markings and appear different to the CPC catalogue.

It's as "official" as the CPC. Triumph must have sourced elsewhere.

No matter... it does the job Smile

rather than get new fuel parts, get decent bike instead. Britz have taken
almost 100yrs to build 1/2 a decent bike. they don't deserve your money or
faith. it's just all too b.... hard. There are times when your head must
rule your heart. this is one.
