Hi,

I have been looking for a vertical storage system for storing bikes and
snowmobiles. Doing a search on the Internet, the only one I have found
is EZ Lift. Just wondering if anyone out there has or knows of similiar
products offered by other companies.

What I am looking for is a rack/shelf based system where each shelf can
be hoisted into place (with its contents, whether a dirt bike, lawn
mower, etc) and locked into place with cross pins. A second or third
shelf is lifted underneath the top shelf in a similar fashion. I am
looking for something that would be 2 or 3 shelves, and would be between
8 and 12 feet high.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. I would think that there would be
more than source for something like this, as there are many applications
where it could be used.

Ross -

This doesn't meet your specs, but it might give you some ideas.

I was contemplating nearly the exact thing last week as I looked at
all the mess in my garage. There actually are several companies that
make single lifts for bikes, mowers, cars, etc... I think maybe this
is one of them...
<a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="http://www.americasprideonline.com/FrameIndex?URL=ViewProducts%3FAllProducts%3Dno%26AllManufacturers%3Dyes%26CategoryIDs%3D47%26ManufacturerIDs%3D%26Source%3Dcatalog%26CurrPage%3D1%26PageNum%3D0%26Sort%3DManModelID%26SortMan%3Dyes" target="_blank">http://www.americasprideonline.com/FrameIndex?URL=ViewProducts%3FAllPr...cts%3Dn</a>

Anyway, due to the cost of these types of things, I'd probably just
have to build my own. Also, I thought about a single tier swing down
design rather than a straight up lift. If you lift straight up, you
have to move everything that is under your toy to get it down. If it
swings down and out past the things stored underneath, you don't have
that problem. If you want multi-tiered storage, you may have to build
a simple rack then put a lift on the front (kind of like a tommy gate,
only larger).<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->
