I read that on one of the internets recently, but I don't recall
exactly where. It's so very true. I have access to a bit of woods
right out of my driveway, but I rarely go out there on my 'big' bikes
'cause the mile of trail gets old and I don't have the motivation (or
help) to cut new trail. I've ridden that same area the last two
Sundays on the trials bike and have been having a blast. I also
haven't ridden 75% of the area yet. No trail, just go where I want.
Big fun.

Unfortunately, it's off limits 'til January after today, as it's
leased for hunting.

I bet! I'd love to have a trials bike. Eric's like, "Yeah, right.
Where you gonna put it?"

Well, then, you might oughta get yourself to an area where you can
ride, eh?

Well, uh...I've been meaning to talk to you about that. I was
thinking, maybe...you know...when the lottery people finally pick the
right numbers and all, well...I could really use a new garage. Nothin'
fancy! Just, you know, some storage room with good security. In my
backyard. I need somewhere to keep the new Husky and the Terra Mostro
and the 500cc 2-stroke GP bike (with CA license plate) that was for
sale on E-Bay and the Service Honda Junior and the Kawasaki Versys
that isn't available here in CA and the MV Agusta F4 Castiglioni model
(it's for Eric!) that will kick Tuner's Hayabusa ass, and the Brutale
and the Aprilia SXV and...well, you get the idea.

What? What's this "short-term memory" stuff all about? Am I missing
something?
Did you ride your trials bike in TST?

Oh yeah, don't forget the Scorpa T-ride.

Well, if there was ever a bike built for the bedroom, I'd guess it
would be the trials bike!

Ya know, Eric's been saying "No more bikes!" since before I bought the
SV. Then I bought the KTM and he didn't complain (at least, not til it
was time to check the valves...) I don't think he really means it, do
you?

I know where one is. TST is a blast on a trials bike. I know
this because my short term memory is still functioning for some
reason.

You have room for a second floor! Think on the possibilities: Double
your bike storage capacity!

I like the way you think, Tiago. A nice long ramp and we're good to
go.

I owe you one.

I was thinking elevator, uses less space...

There's easily room to hang a couple of them from the rafters in the
garage.

There's room for that FZR4/6 in my garage - that would free up plenty
of space.

I had to go to your main album since the link didn't work right... my
morning is going to be shot now, there are a bunch of pics there.
What's the story behind the pleasure palace on the rollback?

And man, I always forget how much I like the look of those old GSXRs.

You betcha. Just waiting on the riding fairy to see what looks good on

It kind of looks like my garage except it's missing a 1969 F250 Pick-
up
and 3 or 4 bikes.
I'll see if I can snap a shot and post it somewhere.
Then there is my living room.....I can only fit a 20" TV, got to make
room for the 3 more bikes I can't fit in the garage.
I have reached critical mass....and it is good.

Yeah, we've got 2 of Eric's retired race bikes in the basement. One of
`em is a fully-farkled `87 Hurricane with a brand new motor sitting on
the work bench. I tried to get Eric to put it together for me, as I
could have ridden it instead of buying the SV, but noooo... It could
have been the perfect urban assault vehicle, for sure; safety wire and
plastic weld all over the place, dented tank, 100mph scrape marks
everywhere, big fat Kosman-widened wheels, the works. People would
move over and make room for me when I would split lanes on the thing.
Hell, fell off on Telegraph Avenue one day and he didn't even notice
the missing half of the front fender for a few weeks. The perfect
commuter.
