No. Tools are left in unheated farm sheds plenty of times. The only
thing you might do is drain the condensation, if any, from the
compressor tank.
My tools are in a pickup tool box. They do fine there. Think about
all the other tradesmen who leave their tools in pickups.

What about the vehicles in there?
It's good to have a little heat, even if it's a 110 plug in thing set on
low. Having the garage even slightly warmer than the outside lowers the
relative humidity in there and is good for things which don't leave it. Also
the convection keeps the air circlulating.
On the other hand, if you regularily park your vehicle in there after
driving it around in the winter and it goes in wet, and it's much worse if
they salt the roads where you live, the higher temps accellerate the
corrosion.
Another thing which can happen is that if you park a cold vehicle in a
warmer garage water can condense out on to the cold bits, these wet-dry
cycles can accelerate the corrosion.
I would take stuff inside which has any bare steel on it, power tools etc if
you don't plan to use them. Wrenches, sockets sets or anything which is
plated should be OK.
A theory which is mine...

An unheated garage.......unheard of! Get a potbelly installed ASAP. It
was the best thing I ever did for my garage (9x6m). It transforms a cold
hole into a public bar! >> Stay informed about: Tools - Winter Storage |

So long as they're dry and the garage is dry, why would you? They're tools,
not babies.

Take the tools inside, and throw the babies in the garage.
You can always make more babies, but good tools are expensive.
