There comes a time in everyone's life when they get tired of the motorcycle
that they are currently riding.
Well, my time has come....My beloved Intruder's time has come. (sob sob)
What to do now? Says I......Deciding that the only thing that would fill the
void left by my precious "Truder" would be to find a suitable replacement.

After looking high & low at different motorcycles, both metric & cc, I saw a
motorcycle that just screamed at me to ride it.
A beautiful machine it is too....
Newer and more powerful than the Intruder (by far)
More comfortable for my Wife to ride two-up, and easier for my kids also.
Windshield, saddlebags Damn! What a wondrous sounds when I fire it up! Draws
stares (could care less about that)
88 cubic inches of pure enjoyment! Shifts like a dream, rides like the wind!
Its a 2003 100th Anniversary Edition Harley Davidson Heritage Soft Classic.
I will continue to rely on you experienced Riders for your knowledge and
wisdom...Thanks Guys & Girls!
Now, if the damn rain would just stop so I can get some road time in, all
would be well for me.

Woooopeeeee and whoooo hoooo... I'm changing your name to "Big Time"... You
have arrived.. Ten years ago, I did the same thing, before I bought the
green Vulcan..That Heritage Classic is the dream machine that I done
everything to own.. I even connived to fly as far away as California to buy
me one of those babies at a price I could afford.. The only reason I am not
riding one of those, rather than the Green One is simply because every
dealer in the north central Texas area had pissed me off, so bad..

I just love it, JailCall.. You and the missus have all my best wishes and
pure joy for your new motorcycle..

The only thing anyone can warn you about, is that Harley builds a high
maintainance motorcycle that requires a bit more attention that most
metrics.. That is no problem for a biker like you, though.. Part of you
enjoyment is taking care of your "ride".. The Intruder was a reflection of
that ..

Regards, my good friend.. See you soon.. IceMan must be as thrilled as your
post indicates that you are ?

Your friend in Irving

Congratulations on the new motorcycle. Hope you get as much enjoyment out of
it as I have mine.
My '87 Heritage has been a geat ride for over 100k miles, and still going
strong. 'Course, it doesn't look much like a Heritage any longer, but that
just means more fun!

<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><SO, you are gonna join that crowd,
eh?
I presume you have already paid those big bucks......to me it's just a
status symbol, having to "ride a Harley" <> Dont get me
completely wrong, my sonNLaw, lost control of his common cents, and paid
around 19,000 dollars for somekind of
2004 HD, and We've got a good friend who 'just' had to buy him one, the
Anniversary one you described, to the money tune of 23,000 dollars. <>
This good friend's wife drives somekind of fairly old sedan vehicle, and
his home needs about 8,000 repairs, BUT, he's gonna have him a HD, by
golly.
<>There's exceptions, some can afford a HD, as well, or better than me
affording
a Honda Shadow, that I found, by really shopping, from an individual.
It's an 03, and barely been ridden, and I saved about
35%.........didnt pay hardly any sales taxes......you know....don't pay
any attention to me.......what do I know.
Hell, I'm tickled for ya......I agree, that
Harley Machine doooo, sound good!!!!!

Congratulations! As tough as it is to let a trusted bike go, getting the
new one makes it all worthwhile.
