Broken bones suck.

The break is healing nicely though a bit out of perfect alignment. Doc says
all is well and we should be able to remove the pins on Friday. Its amusing
to freak out unsuspecting folks with sudden exposure to two stainless steel
pins protruding from the base of my left thumb ... nobody has barfed or even
gagged though a few have had to turn their head and run the opposite
direction screaming in horror like the little girls they are. I'll post
pics later ... it's cool.

LOL! Can't wait for the photos! I'll tell ya, that was the *only* good
thing about having the fixator on my arm. Most people were absolutely
transfixed by it, while the others couldn't stand to look straight at
it. My mom almost passed out the first time she saw it. I had seen the
x-rays and couldn't wait to get the wrapping off my arm after the
surgery. I knew there was some kind of cool hardware in there, and I
thought I was prepared. I was sitting down the first time I looked at
it. I went "WOW! Cool!" and then I got queasy and had to lie down for
a few minutes. After that I was cool and then it was time to have a
little fun with it. It was the most miserable physical experience I've
ever endured (except for the resulting physical therapy, maybe...) but
the very high "freak-out factor" was the saving grace.

Glad to hear your healing right on schedule. Swing by and pick up
Keith on your way to Idaho, will ya? Thanks.

Nice!

Tami, were you dead in the third picture (skin color)? You seem to have

Kewl. I'd hang a chain off of the posts - it'll look sorta punk, in an "old
school" kind of way.

Dude, do me a favor. Before you get those things pulled, touch a 9V
battery to them. I'm curious what it'd feel like. Do it for science,
do it for humanity.

Why do I think the Santa Cruz mountains are full of "walking flys" and other
maimed critters?
