Post subject: Taking vfr to europe
Archived from groups: can>rec>motorcycles (more info?)

I am looking at doing a tour around western europe on my 99 vfr 800. I was
planning on shipping the bike over from canada and then selling the bike
once i when i left. I was wondering if anyone has tried this recently and
if it was easy to get rid of the bike or if there were some steps that had
to be followed to legally export the bike. At first I was going to buy a
bike over in sweden (i have relatives there) but i was told the prices were
just way to high to justify it and renting a bike for 3 months would be very
expensive. What i dont want to happen is that when I decide to leave being
told that i cant leave the bike behind. Any suggestions and help is
appreciated.
